Our Midwest Horsemanship Thoughts

Please enjoy our thoughts on horsemanship and life with horses in the Midwest. Midwest Horsemanship certainly has similarities and differences from other parts of the country.  The differences are visible in how we house and care for our horses and the partnership we try to build with our horses.

Mike and I have been fortunate enough to be exposed to and able to have ridden with some outstanding talent in the horse world – from Ray Hunt and Martin Black to Mark Russell, Joe Wolter, Buck Brannaman and others.  We’d like to share some of our insights along the way.  Remember, these are OUR opinions that come from OUR perspective and based on OUR journey.

If you’ve been in the horse world for any amount of time you certainly know that if you ask 100 horse people the same question you’re certain to get at least 99 different opinions. OURs is just one of them.  Take what you like and leave the rest.
